Almost all my paintings have stories of one type or another that either come to me while painting the picture or prompted me to paint it in the first place - for example, in "Hockey Talk", the player on the left seems to have come over to see what's holding up the game - the one on the right however, doesn't even realize he's on the wrong team! - he's more interested in looking at his undone shoelace. And many coaches have laughed and told me how they relate to how earnestly this coach is talking, and yet when the kids skate off, they don't remember a thing he said.

Personalized Hockey Artwork - Our Specialty

You might want to note that one of the benefits of working directly with the artist is the variety of things you can have done on a piece of printed artwork in order to personalize it. For example, on many of the hockey prints there is room for Patricia to paint a person’s name and number on the back of one of the shirts - even the shirt color can be changed… (“N’Ice Time” and “The Pep Talk ” (as seen below) are only two examples – they can be seen in Family Fun 2).

Fees for changes run from FREE for painted names to approximately $35.00 for a single shirt change. Helmets and other changes will be quoted in that range.

There is also something called a ‘remarque’ which is generally done on the hockey prints with larger margins – a good example is “Hot Chocolate’s Waitin’” which can be seen in Family Fun 3.  Located in the margin, Patricia paints a two and a half to three inch figure – boy or girl (or sometimes a cherished pet) looking towards the players and you get to specify things like hair or helmet color, team shirt colors and the name and number of the child (or breed of dog). One figure is $125.00.
